| Continuing a Long Tradition of Excellence
In 1948, when Fondren Draffin opened his own office to prepare income tax returns, it was the first step in a growing CPA firm that today serves clients in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, and Texas. He took on his first partner, W. Hubert Tucker, Jr., in 1963 and the CPA firm of Draffin & Tucker flourished.
Draffin & Tucker Partner Charles Williams credits the firm's 55 years as a successful, growing business to the tradition of a cycle of accountants.
"The core group of accountants who grew up together in the business in the late '70s is now seeing younger accountants step up to the plate," Williams said. "New generations of accountants are now partners. We stay invigorated about our work with the infusion of young blood. Mr. Draffin brought in young people to put new life into the company and we continue in that custom."
Fondren Draffin knew that quality service, maintained by gradually adding new, young accountants, would create and maintain a successful business. It's a formula that continues today at Draffin & Tucker - a business grounded in history with a steady vision for the future.
That tradition continues.
